As part of the NERC CarTRidge project Alex and Ben F are getting ready to set sail aboard the RRS James Cook from Rio to Walvis Bay.  The James Cook will be their home for the next 47 days as they investigate growth, productivity, nutrient cycling and community response of deep photic communities to nutrient and light availability.
